Merrywood Plants are specialist growers of espaliered plants.

Plants such as Citrus, Camellias, Olives, Apples, Fruit Trees, and Scented plants are trained onto flat surfaces, like walls and fences.

The 5x4 Project obviously has many vertical surfaces to use, so our plants were the perfect fit for those areas.

As well as providing an area where you can pick your own produce off a wall, espaliered plants also absorb the heat that would normally enter the house, thus reducing its need for cooling. Training of espaliered plants is mainly done when they are actively growing in Summer, and this will result in a creative and productive work of art in the garden.
